Special notes

Château Talbot is a well known vineyard in Bordeaux. Since the 1855 classification, it ranks as a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé. The area is named after the first owner, John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, who was also Constable of France. Located in Saint-Julien,it covers some 100 hectares; a very large area. The vineyard consists of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. In2008, the average age of the vines was 28 years. The domain produces some 300 000 bottles of wine in an average year.
