Degustation notes

Rich, with a long tradition, Jadot is strongly rooted in Beaune, a commune where it has no less than ten different 1ers Crus. Grèves, the largest 1er Cru region in Beaune is famous for producing well-structured wines. The Louis Jadot plot is about to convert to biodynamics. The grapes are 100% destemmed to avoid extracting rustic tannins during fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel tanks for a period of three weeks. The wine then rests twelve to fifteen months in barrels, 30% of which are new. Vinification, like with all the other vintages, has been entrusted to oenologist Jacques Lardière, for the past four decades. It was he who guided us through the wine tasting, proof, once again, that the great Burgundy Wineries dedicate the same attention to detail as small producers. Jacques Lardière speaks of the different zones like old friends and intends to ensure that each vintage expresses its individuality. This Grèves Beaune exhudes exuberant cherry, strawberry and plum notes on the nose. The palate seduces with attractive ripe fruitiness, concentrated, with tight, supple tannins. A harmonious wine.
