Special notes

The Chateau Leoville Las Cases 2nd Cru Classé Saint-Julien AOC is among the most famous domains of the Bordeaux vineyards. Owned bythe Delon family (descendants of the Léoville family), who also own the Potensac Castle, the estate has produced many great classicand timeless Bordeaux wines, for several years now. The Château Latour is their neighbour. The Château Leoville-Las-Cases vineyard is adjacent to the Pauillac appellation and only a small village separates it from Chateau Latour's Premier Cru. This is why the wines produced by the domain more greatly resemble a Pauillac rather than a St-Julien. Leoville-Las-Cases have produced some of the best Saint-Julien vintages, for several years now. The 94 hectares of the domain vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (20%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (3%). At the end of a fermentation periode in a tank of between fifteen and twenty days.
