A rather clear ruby colour, a spicy bouquet of berries and pepper decorated with a hint of plum and cinnamon, aromatic on the attack, a well balanced structure, not very tannic, a light, soft Ticinese Merlot.
F. lli Valsangiacomo SA was founded in 1831 in Chiasso. Merlot, a vintage from the Bordeaux region, was officially introduced in Ticino in the early twentieth century, where it was the subject of intense promotion to such an extent that it covers 86% of the wine-growing area and is the main grape of the canton. Each bottle is labeled "viti" awarded only to quality wines after strict control by the cantonal authorities.
