A powerful, dense purple-red hue, a generous, versatile spicy bouquet with notes of blackcurrant and elderberry and a little tobacco, concentrated berry flavours, voluminous and richly textured on the palate with fruity sweetness, an aroma of dark berries, lovelyconcentrated fruit, a powerful body, and a robust, fruity-sweet finish.
The Negroamaro produces good red and rosé wines in the region of Salice Salentino, west of Lecce. Riserva = 2 years of maturing, including one year in oak barrels. In recent years, southern Italy, especially Puglia, has received praise for their new wines. Today,they have found their true place in consumers' cellars. In Valle Talloria in Diano d'Alba, the Giordano family has been producing awide selection of classic wines since 1900. The company was founded by Ferdinando Giordano, grandfather of the current president ofthe company, and then taken over later by his son Giovanni. Today, they are the leaders in direct wine sales, Giordano's company isone of the most important wine merchants in Italy. Despite its growth, the company has retained the charm of a family business. In a century, four generations have been constantly pursuing the same goal: preserving its tradition and philosophy.
