Goes well with
Spicy meat dishes, Valais platter, hard cheese
An intense cherry red colour, a spicy nose that opens with aromas of blackberries, ripe cherries and tobacco notes, with subtle woody and smoky nuances, an ample, weighty structure on the palate, concentrated, with black berry notes at the finish.
In 1896 Urbain Germanier planted vines and founded his winery in Balavaud. A village in the commune of Vétroz, in the heart of the Valais. Later, his three sons, Francis, Paul and Charles took over and their vintages finished among the Valais Premiers Crus. Today, two young winemakers, representing the 3rd and 4th generations, Jean-René Germanier and Gil les Besse produce this wine.
