A colour resembling ripe pomegranate, a very spicy bouquet with aromas of barrel, cloves, juniper and coriander, good concentrationon the attack, balanced and elegant, delicate, ripe fruit flavours reminiscent of dried fruit, a long finish embellished with well ripened, moderate tannins.

Pio Cesare, is a seasoned producer from Alba best known for his Barolo and Barbaresco. The vineyard surface area is 33 hectares andproduces about 320,000 bottles. Barolo, a small area south of Alba, offers one of the best italian red wines. Production is concentrated in the towns of Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d'Alba, Serralunga d'Alba as well as Barolo and La Morra. The required ageing is3 years and 5 years for Riserva.
