Degustation notes

An interesting, dense cherry red colour with spicy notes of vanilla and cinnamon, pleasant aromas of lees, concentrated aromas of berries on the palate, a seductive range of fruitiness on the attack, a beautiful structure, absolutely clean, good tannins that are still a bit young envelop a powerful body. A stocky wine that is very pleasant to drink.

Special notes

Matured in oak barrels for 12 months. Today, the third generation continues the family tradition at the Sogrape winery, founded in 1942. The Sogrape domain covers 800 hectares of vines in different regions of Portugal and Argentina. The main grape varieties that are cultivated are Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Among the most famous regions in Portugal, the Douro Valley is also the oldest wine-growing region in the world. Only the region of Alto Douro in Portugual and its adjacent valleys have the rightto use the DOC Douro appellation. It is famous for its quality red and white wines. The Douro Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
