Degustation notes

Ruby colour with purple highlights, a nose dominated by spicy concentrated berries, nuances of cinnamon and cherry, strong on the pa late, well structured, quite lively with a taste of sweet fruit in the end, a complex wine with significant astringency at the finish.

Special notes

In 1977 the name VDQS was promoted to an AOC status. The fact that the climate of the old wine region is close to the one in California, birthplace of high-tech, encouraged wine growers to plant more classic grape varieties. The neighboring village of Les Beaux, was granted its AC status in 1994 for its red and rosé wines and is now called Côtes des Beaux de Provence. Gérard Pillon and Jean-Daniel Schläpfer, owners of the Balisiers domain that produce organic wines, are the chief artisans making this wine today.

Mr - I have bought this vin several times before and enjoyed it very much. However, now the taste is not good anymore. First bottle was bad. We thought it was only one but the second one was the same. Now I have four bottles which I can't drink. Taste is acid and bouquet not nice!
