Degustation notes

Dense cherry red colour, flirting with black, a richly varied bouquet with aromas of elderflower, finely spiced notes, powerful andfleshy on the palate, a muscular body, a pronounced taste of berries accompanied by a soft fruity sweetness and good length.

Special notes

Brought to the baptismal font in 2001 following the reunification of the Gries and St-Magdalena cellars, two traditional cellars inBolzano. The Bozen cellar is one of the youngest cooperatives in South Tyrol. Lagrein grape variety common in South Tyrol, owes itsname to its origins in the Val Lagarina in Trentino. Already cited in the seventeenth century in documents preserved in the Muri Benedictine Monastery near Bozen. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
