Degustation notes

Red-purple colour with hints of violet, a few woody notes, leather aromas, a touch of vanilla and ripe black berries. A slight taste of violet, fruity sweetness on the attack, plentiful ripe berries and a hint of licorice. Medium-bodied, with noticeable tanins into the finish.

Special notes

The Ricasolis, are one of the most famous noble Tuscan families. They have been producing wine since 1141 and are the owners of Castello di Brolio, one of the oldest wineries in the world. Since the early nineties, Francesco Ricasoli has managed the estate. The land is located in the commune of Gaiole and covers 1200 hectares of which 230 hectares are planted with vines. 150 hectares are Sangiovese and the rest are Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo Nero, Chardonnay, Malvasia del Chianti and Merlot.

    Ce Chianti est plus "Classico" que "Superiore". Il est bien fait, toutefois sans surprise. Bon rapport qualité prix, mais il y a mieux dans le genre.
