Capichera's history began in the 20's, when the Ragnedda brothers' grandfather inherited a vineyard in northern Sardinia. The areasurrounding the commune of Arzachena was already known at the time to be particularly conducive to vine cultivation. It was in the 70's, thanks to the planting of new Vermentino vines that quality was significantly improved. The first Vermentino was put on the market in the early 80's under the "Capichera"" label then the red wines followed, made from Carignano (Carignan) grapes.
