Lemon yellow colour, a generous bouquet enhanced by nuances of citrus, honey and pineapple, finely spiced notes, elegant and soft on the attack, frank woody aromas, a vigorous, opulent body, a pronounced character, a modern wine with a long fruity finish.

Special notes

Fermentation in French oak barrels, without the must. In Sicily, the natural elements of wind and sun blend perfectly with the balanced Mediterranean climate that prevails. Casa Vinicola Firriato was built in 1985. Its two owners - two young entrepreneurs - are also the producers: Salvatore and Vinzia di Gaetano. In 1994, Salvatore and Vinzia di Gaetano met with Australian winemakers that made them discover the benefits of technology from the other side of the world, where the climatic conditions greatly ressemble the Sicilian climate. They exchanged their mutual experiences in the company of oenologist Guiseppe Pellegrino. The Firriato vineyard now covers 300 hectares, of which 200 are premier quality vines.

Gold. Notes of fresh fruits and wildflowers. Rich, calibrated and persistent acidity. Assembled with two great grapes that are excelling in the Sicilian terroir: Catarratto and Chardonnay. 2014 was a great year for such a unique white.
