Special notes

Family business - John Geber's vineyards are extremely well located. However, the vines are 1,600 km apart from each other, across Australia, in short. The white wines from Chardonnay are on vines that are planted west of Sydney near the small town of Cowra. Gerber's own red wine is a blend of Cabernet and Shiraz from grapes grown in the Barossa Valley. This is also where the family's property is located, Chateau Tanunda, where most of the wine is pressed, fermented, stored in the cellar and stocked, in 12,000 French and American oak barrels.
