Special notes

White Marsanne probably comes from the northern Rhône Valley where it produces fine wines, on the steep slopes of the Hermitage. This variety seems to have been brought to Valais in 1850 by a colonel Dénéréaz and was first cultivated below Clavoz near Sion. A late varietal, it is only grown on the sunny slopes of central Valais.

Kein schlechter Marsanne, kommt aber nicht an meinen Referenz-Marsanne von Betrisey heran.
