A rich bouquet of ripe pineapple and peach, soft on the attack, a richlygenerous set of aromas, lots of character, low acidity, mineral notes, a subtle taste of flint and aromatic into the finish.
White Marsanne probably comes from the northern Rhône Valley where it produces fine wines, on the steep slopes of the Hermitage. This variety seems to have been brought to Valais in 1850 by a colonel Dénéréaz and was first cultivated below Clavoz near Sion. A late varietal, it is only grown on the sunny slopes of central Valais.
