Les Fils de Charles Favre
Goes well with
Appetizers, fondue raclette
A fine bouquet with mineral notes and slight hints of yeast, in the mouth, fresh with plenty of carbonic acid and sharpness, a strong fruity presence, nice volume and pleasantly soft at the finish.
This family estate has belonged to Charles Favre's sons since 1944. The Fendant from Valais, commonly known as Chasselas, was introduced, it seems, by General de Courten in the eighteenth century. He was the first to plant a vineyard in Sion. The main town in thecanton, has 425 hectares of vineyards, produces 61% of white wines and 39% of red wines. In addition to the traditional wine varieties, you can also find a wide variety of specialty red and white wines.
