  • August 1st Burger Buns
  • 250 g white flour
  • 0.5 tbsp. sugar
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
  • 0.25 cube yeast (ca. 10 g), crumbled
  • 30 g butter, in pieces, softened
  • 1.8 dl milk
  • 1 eggs, beaten
  • Burgers
  • 0.5 tbsp. mustard
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 0.5 bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • a little pepper
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
  • 8 slices frying bacon
  • Sauce
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 0.5 bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. mustard
  • 0.25 tsp. salt
  • Assembly
  • 1 red onion, in thinly sliced rings
  • 4 leaves butterhead lettuce
  • 80 g mountain cheese, in thin slices

  • August 1st Burger Buns

    Combine the flour with the salt, sugar and yeast, add the butter and milk, mix and knead until smooth and supple. Cover the dough and let it rise approximately 1h30 at room temperature, until it doubles in volume. Roll the dough on a little flour into a rectangle shape, approximately 20x28 cm, cut in half in length and width. Lay the four rectangles obtained of approximately 10x14 cm on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cover and let rise a second time for approximately 30 minutes. Draw a cross on the top of each bun with scissors in the middle of the dough, brush with egg. Cook approximately 25 minutes in the bottom of the oven preheated to 200 ° C.
  • Burgers

    Mix the meat and all the ingredients until the pepper, knead well until the mass becomes compact. With wet hands, form 4 square shaped burger patties and flatten them slightly. Brown the bacon in a nonstick frying pan without fat for approximately 1 minute, when done, drain on paper towels and set aside. Wipe the cooking fat from the frying pan. In the same pan, grill the burger patties for approximately 1 minute on each side, lower the heat, cover and finish cooking for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Sauce

    Combine the cream, parsley, mustard and salt.
  • Assembly

    Cut the August 1st bread buns in half, brush each half with sauce. Garnish the bottom half with salad and onion rings. Add a burger patty, cheese and bacon and cover with the other half of the bun. Serve the remaining sauce with the burgers.
