Beef ribs with blackberry marinade

- Blackberry marinade
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 150 g blackberry jam
- 0.5 tsp ground cumin
- 0.75 tsp sweet paprika
- 0.5 tsp chilli flakes
- 1.2 kg Spareribs (beef back ribs, whole)
- Charcoal/gas/electric grill:
- 1.5 tsp salt

Blackberry marinade
Mix the jam, oil, garlic and spices. Set aside 5 tbsp for the sauce. Brush the ribs with the remainder of the marinade, cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hrs. -
Charcoal/gas/electric grill:
Wipe the marinade from the meat and set aside. Salt the meat, grill over/on a low heat (approx. 180°C) for approx. 20 mins. on each side. Occasionally brush the meat with the removed marinade. Serve the reserved marinade as a sauce.
