  • Marinade
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 red chilli, deseeded, cut into rings
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Meat
  • 600 g beef rump, cut into 1 cm strips
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Vegetables
  • 2 spring onions, onions sliced, greens cut into rings
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 100 g shiitake mushrooms, quartered
  • 250 g mini asparagus, halved crosswise
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • Marinade

    Combine all the ingredients with a whisk, set aside 2 tbsp of the marinade.
  • Meat

    Mix the meat with the marinade, cover and marinate for approx. 30 mins. Wipe away the marinade, heat the oil in a frying pan. Stir fry the meat in batches for approx. 2 mins. per batch, remove from the pan, set aside.
  • Vegetables

    Heat the oil in the same pan, sauté the spring onions, add the asparagus and mushrooms, cook briefly for approx. 2 mins. Pour in the water and soy sauce, bring to the boil. Simmer for approx. 2 mins. Mix in the reserved marinade, add the meat, heat gently.
  • Serve with:
