Ingredients

  • Cucumber Pepper Relish
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 yellow peppers
  • 1 green pepper
  • 0.5 tsp. fennel seeds
  • 0.5 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 0.5 tsp. indian curry
  • 0.5 tsp. chili flakes
  • 0.5 tsp. coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 100 g sugar
  • 5 dl white wine vinegar
  • Burgers
  • 2 hamburgers
  • a little clarified butter

  • Ingredients

    Remove the seeds from the pepper and cut into strips.
  • Cucumber Pepper Relish

    Place the cucumber and pepper in a bowl, cover with cold water, leave to stand for 1 hr.
  • Put the mustard seeds, fennel seeds, chilli flakes and all the other ingredients up to and including the vinegar in a pan. Add the vegetables, bring to the boil, reduce the heat and leave to infuse for approx. 10 mins.
  • Transfer the vegetables to preserving jars while still hot, barely cover with the liquid, seal the jars and allow to cool, refrigerate.
  • Fry the burgers in a little clarified butter for approx. 4 mins. on each side. Serve the burgers with the cucumber & pepper relish.
  • Senfkörner, Fenchelsamen, Chiliflocken und alle Zutaten bis und mit Essig in eine Pfanne geben. Gemüse beigeben, aufkochen, Hitze reduzieren und ca. 10 Min. ziehen lassen.
  • Gemüse noch heiss in Einmachgläser füllen, knapp mit Sud bedecken, verschliessen und auskühlen lassen, kühl stellen.
  • Burgers

    Burger in wenig Bratbutter beidseitig beidseitig je ca. 4 Min. braten. Gurken-Peperoni-Relish dazu servieren.
  • Servieren:

    Relish zum Burger servieren, nach Belieben mit Kresse garnieren.
