  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1.5 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 bag dark cake icing (approx. 125 g), melted
  • sugar decorations (e.g. sugar letters) as decoration
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 g white flour
  • 450 g frozen berry mixture


  • Put the butter in a bowl, then stir in the sugar and salt. Add the eggs one at a time and continue to mix until the mixture is lighter in colour. Stir in the milk.
  • Mix together the flour, baking powder and cinnamon then stir into the mixture. Carefully fold in the berries. Place the dough in the prepared tin.
  • Bake for approx. 1 1/4 hrs. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 180°C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool a little, tip the cake onto a cooling rack and cool completely.
  • Pour the glaze over the cake, decorate and allow to dry.
