  • Mince filling
  • 0.5 dl milk hot
  • 30 g white bread (e.g. bread rolls), day-old, cut into cubes
  • 500 g minced meat (beef)
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp marjoram, finely chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • a little cayenne pepper
  • To grill the peppers:
  • 8 long peppers (e.g. Cecei)
  • 16 slices fried bacon (approx. 150 g)

  • Mince filling

    Pour the milk over the bread, soak briefly. Mix the bread with the mince, egg, shallot and marjoram, season.
  • To grill the peppers:

    Cut open the peppers lengthwise, remove the seeds. Stuff the peppers with the mince mixture, wrap each pepper in a rasher of bacon. Charcoal/gas/electric grill: Grill over/on a medium heat for approx. 10-15 mins. all over.
  • Serve with:

    Garlic bread.
