Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic cloves
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1.5 dl apple juice
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes (ca. 400 g)
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 0.5 dl apple vinegar
  • 2 pinches ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 pinches cinnamon
  • a little pepper

Instructions

  • Finely chop the onion, press the garlic, finely grate the ginger. Sauté in olive oil for approx. 5 mins. Add the apple juice and bring to the boil, reduce to approx. half the amount. Add the tomatoes, vinegar and sugar, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer on a low heat for approx. 30 mins. Season, puree, allow to cool.
