Ingredients

  • 500 g tomatoes, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 3 tbsp. soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. whiskey
  • 0.25 tsp. salt
  • 0.25 tsp. cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Place the tomatoes and all the other ingredients up to and including the cayenne pepper in a pan, bring to the boil while stirring, reduce the heat, simmer for approx. 20 mins. until the mixture thickens, puree and pass through a sieve. Stir in the whisky.
