  • Marinade
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 cm ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 red chilli, deseeded, finely chopped
  • 1 spring onions incl. green parts, finely chopped
  • 0.25 bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 0.25 tsp pepper (black)
  • 0.25 bunch coriander, finely chopped
  • 0.5 lime, use only the juice
  • 1 tbsp liquid honey
  • 0.5 tbsp cane sugar
  • Chicken thighs
  • 400 g chicken legs
  • 400 g chicken drumsticks
  • To grill
  • 1 lime, use only the juice
  • 0.75 tsp salt

  • Marinade

    Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Chicken thighs

    Mix the chicken thighs with the marinade in a bowl. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hrs.
  • To grill

    Remove the chicken from the marinade, season with salt. Charcoal/gas/electric grill: Grill the chicken over/on a medium heat (approx. 200°C) for approx. 30 mins., turn occasionally and drizzle with lime juice.
  • Serve with:

    Rice with beans.
