Ingredients

  • Syrup
  • 350 g sugar
  • 7 dl water
  • 2 organic lemon, use thinly peeled zest and all of the juice
  • Utensils
  • 1 bottle (approx. 750 ml)

Instructions

  • Syrup

    Bring the water and all the other ingredients to the boil while stirring. Reduce to a syrupy consistency for approx. 40 mins. over a medium heat. While still boiling hot, pour the syrup through a sieve into the clean, warmed bottle and fill to just below the rim. Seal immediately and leave to cool.
  • Shelf life:

    Store the lemon syrup in a cool, dark place for approx. 2 months. Once opened, keep the bottle in the fridge and consume the syrup quickly.
