  • To cook the pasta
  • 300 g pasta (e.g. macaroni)
  • salted water, boiling
  • Macaroni bake
  • 50 g grated Sbrinz
  • 200 g ham, diced
  • 2 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 spring onions incl. green parts, cut into thin rings
  • Sauce
  • 4 dl milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2.5 dl single cream
  • a little pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Utensils
  • One ovenproof dish (holding approx. 2 1/2 l), greased.

  • To cook the pasta

    Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, rinse in cold water, drain, empty into a large bowl.
  • Macaroni bake

    Mix the diced ham with the pasta and all the other ingredients up to and including the onion, transfer to the prepared dish.
  • Sauce

    Combine the milk with all the other ingredients up to and including the pepper, pour the sauce over the bake.
  • To bake

    Approx. 1 hr. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200°C.
  • Tip:

    For a vegetarian option, add diced vegetables (e.g. carrot, leek, celeriac) instead of ham.
