  • 1 dl maple syrup
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1 organic oranges, a little grated zest
  • 1 tsp bourbon vanilla powder organic
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 fresh eggs
  • 1 fresh egg yolks
  • 250 g white flour
  • 1 fresh egg white
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 300 g icing sugar

  • In a bowl, mix together the butter, maple syrup, salt, orange zest, vanilla powder and ground cloves. Mix in the egg and egg yolk and continue to stir until the mixture becomes lighter in colour. Add the flour, mix to create a biscuit dough, flatten a little, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs.
  • On a lightly floured surface or between a cut-open plastic bag, roll out the dough in batches to approx. 7 mm thick. Cut out stars in various sizes and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for approx. 12 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool on a cooling rack. Use decorating icing to decorate the stars.
  • Eiweiss mit dem Zitronensaft leicht verklopfen, Puderzucker beigeben, mit den Schwingbesen des Handrührgerätes ca. 5 Min. rühren. Glasur in einen Spritzsack füllen, Spitze wegschneiden, sodass nur eine kleine Öffnung entsteht. Sterne verzieren.
