  • Chickpeas
  • 1 tin chickpeas (approx. 410 g), rinsed, drained
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes (approx. 400 g)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • a little pepper
  • Meatballs
  • 1 onions, finely chopped
  • 500 g minced meat (beef)
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 0.5 bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 organic lemon, use just half of grated zest
  • 1.25 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • clarified butter for frying
  • a little pepper

  • Chickpeas

    Combine the chickpeas and tomatoes in a pan, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for approx. 10 mins., season.
  • Meatballs

    Place the meat in a bowl. Add the onion, garlic, parsley, lemon zest and breadcrumbs, season. Knead well by hand. With wet hands, shape the mixture into approx. 20 balls, toss the balls in the sesame seeds. Heat the clarified butter in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs on all sides for approx. 8 mins. Serve with the chickpeas.
