Mousse au Chocolat with Cherries

  • 1 tbsp. water from morello cherries
  • 40 g dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. cherries
  • 10 morello cherries (sour cherries) from a jar, drained, cut in half
  • 10 pitted dried cherries, coarsely chopped
  • 1.5 dl cream

  • In a thin-sided bowl, melt the chocolate with the Kirsch and the water from the morello cherries over a gently boiling bain-marie, stir until smooth, remove and allow to cool a little. Carefully mix the morello cherries into the chocolate mixture. Beat 100 ml of cream until stiff, fold in. Divide into two glasses and chill for about an hour. Beat 50 ml of cream until frothy and pour over. Scatter over the cherries.
