  • 2 fresh egg whites
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 g hazelnuts, coarsely chopped, roasted
  • 150 g slivered almonds, roasted
  • 300 g acacia honey

  • Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff. Add the sugar and continue beating until the egg whites are glossy.
  • Simmer the honey in a saucepan for approx. 10 minutes. Add the sugar and whisk the mixture over low heat until it melts. Add the beaten egg whites and continue to stir over low heat for approx. 10 minutes.
  • Mix the hazelnuts and slivered almonds into the mixture, spread it on baking paper to a thickness of approx. 1 1/2 cm, and let cool. Cut the nougat into bars approx. 2 × 4 cm in size.
