Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta (e.g. orecchiette)
  • salted water, boiling
  • 1 cauliflower (small), cut into florets
  • 1 broccoli (small), cut into florets
  • 2 garlic clove
  • 200 g diced bacon or strips of bacon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 handful pine nuts, toasted without oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta in salted water according to the packet instructions until al dente. Add the cauliflower and broccoli 6 mins. before the end of the cooking time. Drain both. In a wide-bottomed, non-stick frying pan, fry the garlic and bacon in the oil until crispy. Stir in the pasta, vegetables and pine nuts, season and serve immediately.
