Raclette Cheese and Pear Bake

  • 14 slices wholemeal toast bread
  • 1 dl white wine (or apple juice)
  • 2 pears
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 10 slices raclette cheese (ca. 300 g) EMMI KALTBACH
  • 4 slices ham (shoulder of ham)
  • 5 dl milk
  • 5 eggs
  • a little nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • a little pepper


  • Drizzle the slices of bread with wine (or apple juice). Peel and halve the pears, remove the core, slice and immediately drizzle with lemon juice.
  • Halve the Raclette slices and layer with the bread and the pears in a greased, ovenproof dish (approx. 2 1/2 litres).
  • Cut the ham into strips and scatter over.
  • To make the sauce, combine the milk with the remaining ingredients and pour over the ingredients.
  • Bake for approx. 40 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 180°C.
