  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 bay leaf
  • 1 onions, cut into rings
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 apples, coarsely grated
  • 1 kg red cabbage, quartered, stem removed, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 dl red wine
  • 2 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
  • 1.5 dl vegetable bouillon

  • Heat the butter in a pan. Sauté the onion, bay leaves and cloves. Add the cabbage, apple and sugar, cook briefly, season with salt. Pour in the wine, reduce for approx. 1 min., add the stock and balsamic. Cover and simmer the cabbage over a low heat for approx. 2 hrs. until soft, stirring occasionally.
