  • 350 g basmati rice
  • saltwater, boiling
  • peanut oil to fry
  • 60 g Tropic Mix, coarsely chopped
  • 0.5 pineapple, cut lengthways into 8 segments
  • 400 g strips of chicken
  • 0.75 tsp. salt
  • a little pepper
  • 0.5 onion, grated
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated
  • 2 tbsp. medium hot curry powder
  • 0.5 tbsp. white flour
  • 3 tbsp. sour single cream
  • 3.5 dl chicken bouillon
  • 1 apples (approx. 120 g), grated
  • 1 tsp. honey

  • Cook the rice in boiling water until al dente, drain, cover and keep warm.
  • Toast the Tropic mix in a frying pan, remove and set aside. Heat the same pan, toast the pineapple slices on both sides until golden, remove and keep warm. Add a dash of oil, heat, brown the meat in batches for approx. 2 mins., season, remove and keep warm. Add a little oil if necessary, sauté the onions, garlic and apple and briefly add the curry and flour. Add the stock, bring to the boil, stirring, then gently simmer the sauce for approx. 10 mins. Add the sour half cream and honey, return the meat to the pan and gently heat.
