Ingredients

  • Burgers
  • 600 g ground beef
  • oil to fry
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 0.5 lime, heiss abgespült, trocken getupft, abgeriebene Schale und 2 EL Saft, beiseite gestellt
  • Ajvar Mayonnaise Preparation
  • 8 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. raw sugar
  • 6 tbsp. ajvar (pureed pepper condiment)
  • 4 bread roll oder Buns
  • 1 bunch coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 cm ginger, finely chopped

    Mix the meat, lime juice and salt in a bowl. Knead the mixture well by hand until the ingredients form a compact mass. With wet hands, shape into 4 burgers.
  • Cooking the burgers

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Fry the burgers on a medium heat for approx. 7 mins. on each side.
  • Ajvar Mayonnaise Preparation

    Combine the mayonnaise, ajvar, cane sugar and 1 tbsp of lime juice, spread half of this mixture over the bottom half of the bread rolls. Place the burgers on top and drizzle with the remaining lime juice. Cover with the remaining mayonnaise, ginger and coriander, place the top half of the bread rolls on top.
