Spicy French Toast

  • 1 onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp. chives
  • 150 g vegetarian mince
  • a little pepper
  • 2 tbsp. crème fraîche
  • 1 dl milk
  • 1 eggs
  • 0.25 tsp. salt
  • 4 slices brown bread (ca. 150 g)
  • 1.5 tbsp. clarified butter

  • Pre-heat the oven to 60°C. Combine the milk, egg and salt and coat the slices of bread in the mixture. Heat 1 tbsp of clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan, reduce the heat, fry the slices of bread on both sides until golden brown, keep warm.
  • Finely chop the onion, dice the tomatoes and finely chop the chives. Heat 1 ?2 tbsp of clarified butter, fry the Délicorn mince for approx. 3 mins., season.
  • Add the onion, tomatoes and chives, simmer over a medium heat for approx. 6 mins., divide onto the French toasts, garnish with crème fraîche.
