  • Sugar syrup
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 lemons, use only the juice
  • 150 g water
  • Lemonade
  • 250 g strawberries, sliced
  • 1.5 litres water or sparkling mineral water
  • ice cube
  • 2 sprigs basil

  • Sugar syrup

    Bring the water and sugar to the boil, simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in the lemon juice.
  • Lemonade

    Place the strawberries in a jug, pour in the sugar syrup, top up with the water, chill for at least 1 hr. Add the basil and ice cubes before serving.
  • Tip:

    Alter the sweetness of the lemonade by adding more or less water.
