Vegan burger made with black beans
Ingredients
- 1 red onions, coarsely chopped
- 1 yellow pepper, coarsely chopped
- 1 tin black beans (net weight approx. 290 g), rinsed and drained
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp BBQ sauce (Sriracha)
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 25 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp water, cold
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- oil for frying

Instructions
- Put the drained beans, onion, pepper and garlic into a food processor. Push the mixer button a few times until everything has been chopped, but is still coarse. Put the mixture into a bowl, stir in the sauce, breadcrumbs and seasoning. Stir the cornflour into the water, stir into the mixture. With wet hands, shape the mixture into 6 burgers. Fry in hot oil for approx. 1 1/2 mins. on each side until golden-brown.
