Armagnac Paul du Vignau VSOP - Tatsächlich weich, geschmeidig und trotzdem stark. Ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
The Armagnac appellation comprises three districts: Bas-Armagnac, Haut Armagnac and Ténarèze. Bas-Armagnac is considered to be the best area for producing top-quality armagnac. The grapes used to make armagnac (Colombard, Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc) grow on clay and marl soils, whereas the Cognac region has chalky, limestone-rich soils. Armagnac is (normally) distilled just once (column distillation process), before being aged in barrels made of the black oak grown in the local forests of Monlezun in Landes. The Monlezun oak enables the armagnac to mature more quickly than cognac and imparts a dark colour within the space of a few years, by which time the armagnac will have acquired its velvety dry softness and intense, fiery aftertaste. Armagnac VSOPs age for at least five years in oak barrels. 700ml. 40% Vol.
