Degustation notes

Ruby colour, an ample bouquet of compote punctuated with notes of ripe plum, enriched by aromas of cassis and discreet notes of cinnamon and tobacco, an intense, juicy attack on the palate, good concentration offering lovely roundness, caramel notes, balanced structure, agreable freshness, a long spicy finish, a very accessible wine.

Special notes

The Valpolicella grape clusters that are selected are harvested in early October and dry up to 3 months in small boxes on straw beds or shelves. Weight loss is of the order of 25 to 40% of the initial weight, which concentrates the sugars and the extracts. The grapes are pressed in January, then aged for many years in oak barrels.
