Goes well with

Pasta, hearty meat dishes, grilled meat and cheese

Degustation notes

Typical, deep ruby red with some violet, with fine smoky hints on the nose, but dominated by the concentrated aromas of black berries such as blackcurrant, cherry and blackberry, hints of oak, a balanced structure on the palate, good body, a delicate spiciness, mild tannins, full-bodied with a warm finish and long-lasting aromas.

Special notes

Robert Mondavi became independent in 1965. His vision was to produce wines of comparable quality to the best in the world, including French wines. In 1976, during a now lengedary comparative wine tasting, the best Burgundy and Bordeaux wines were supplanted by Mondavi's, and California's vineyards entered the big league.

Don't try this one... - We love wine. But this one was.... very very bad. We could not finish our glass. The wine was used for cooking.
