Degustation notes

Beautiful garnet red colour, a noble, complex nose, evoking aromas of ripe berries, hints of prunes, spicy nuances and cinnamon, average ampleness on the palate, supple and very round, balanced, with a delicate return to berry aromas, moderate tannins, with an aromatic persistence of ripe fruit at the finish.

Special notes

An important wine-growing commune in the canton of Valais, Salquenen straddles the border between German-speaking Upper Valais and French-speaking Lower Valais formed by the Raspille River. More than 40 growers cultivate 200 hectares of vines. 90% of the vineyardis planted with red varieties, with a predominance of Pinot Noir, the soil in the region, is calcium and magnesium rich, are particularly suited to this grape variety. It can boast about being the first Swiss commune to have introduced the first Swiss Grand Cru in 1988 and, therefore, an AOC.
