Degustation notes
Beautiful dark ruby colour with aromas of ripe plums and berries, intensely spicy pepper notes, anise and caramel, nice roundness and complexity, balanced and concentrated, evident tannins give the wine good shape. A very nice Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Special notes
Wrought by the floods of the Rhone and the alluvium they left behind, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, located between the Rhône and the southern highway, it certainly produces many of the best wines from the south of France. But it is also a vast vineyard, that covers the equivalent of one appellation from the Côte de Beaune, all on its own! The size and diversity of the terrain, exposure, vines (thirteen grape varietals are allowed!), the winemakers it entails, has always provoked a great heterogeneity of production. The absence ofa quality local wine trade, for a long time (as opposed to Burgundy, Champagne, Bordeaux ...) hardly encouraged growers to refine their production. Today, this type of vineyard remains largely unknown to most consumers. However, these red wines know how to compete with the best, with extraordinary ageing potential, their southern generosity and delicacy of flavours and texture.

Intensiver Karamellduft, etwas Vanille, Grillnoten, Schokolade und dunkle, reife Früchte (Kirschen, Brombeeren, Cassis). Die Fruchtsüsse wirkt in Kombination mit den satten Tanninen sehr ausbalanciert. Ein elegantes Kraftpaket mit viel Länge. Und wenn es einfach mal zu viel ist - Zapfen drauf und ab in den Kühlschrank. Am nächsten Tag eine halbe Stunde vorher raus nehmen und geniessen. Hält sich erstaunlich gut.

La seule chose que je suis en mesure de dire est qu le 2010 est meilleur marché (lors des promotions) qu'au Château que j'ai visité cet été. -

J'avais dégusté ce même cru il y a quelques années et en avait gardé un assez bon souvenir. Question de millésime?
