Degustation notes

Dense garnet colour, a fruity bouquet with spicy notes, well integrated grilled aromas, a supple palate with lots of nice hints of wood and grilled, powerful yet very drinkable tannins at the median, the finish is dominated by youthful tannins. A good, powerful Burgundy wine, with good length.

Special notes

Chambolle-Musigny is about 15 km south of Dijon, between Vougeot and Morey-Saint-Denis. In 1882, like many Côte de Nuits municipalities, the village of Chambolle added the name of the famous Musigny designation to its name. The name Chambolle-Musigny (AOC since September 11, 1936) includes 24 Premier Cru designations, covering a total area of 61 hectares, and two Grand Cru on an area of 24.2 hectares. Consisting basically of red Pinot Noir. For the normal local appellation red wine, the yield is limited to 40 hectoliters per hectare, with a maximum tolerance of 20% in exceptional cases. The average harvest is approximately 6637 hectoliters per year (this figure does not take into account the Grand Cru designations).
