Degustation notes

An ample, balanced nose that evokes aromas of berries and spice, completed by hints of yeast and bread crust, a mouth that combinespower and roundness, with a beautiful aromatic presence typical of a Pinot Noir shouldered by slight acidity, firm silky tannins andcharacterized by a pleasant bitterness at the finish.

Special notes

Red AOC wine from the Valais is made strictly from Pinot Noir or a blendof red grapes, whose grapes must reach at least 73-83° Oechsle (the exact range is determined every year). A blend must be composed of at least 80% Pinot Noir and Gamay, with a majority of Pinot Noir. Provins is a cooperative that was founded in 1930, following a difficult time for winemaking. Wine producers got togetherto form a company to produce and bottle their products, to start. Later on, they created a structure to market their products. Provins is now the largest producer of Swiss wines, we represent about 23% of the production in the Valais, 10% in Switzerland overall. There are more than 4,400 members - wine producers show their trust in the cooperative by providing about 10,000,000 kilos of grapes, annually.
