Special notes

Wolf Blass is originally from East Germany. He studied viticulture and oenology at the University of Würzburg. These studies earned him the title of "Masters in Wine"". In 1961, he emigrated to Australia where he worked as a sparkling wine consultant. In 1966, he founded his first vineyard domain in Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley. In 1986 he acquired a 50% stake in the Australian Bottling Company, including its production of sparkling wines. The merging of the major Mildara group, lead to the creation of the Mildara- Blass group in 1991. In 1996, the group was taken over by Fosters, the brewery giant. Currently, Wolf Blass is the ambassador of wines that bear this name. The Red Label line is a symbol for a standard of first class wines offering good value for money.
