Gérard Bertrand

Goes well with

Roast, wild game, grilled food, lamb

Degustation notes

Dark garnet colour, with a frank bouquet in a flight of spicy scents, agreable toasted nuances, discreet tobacco notes and cedar wood, corpulent on the attack, delivering blackberry and cherry notes, subtle tannins in the mouth, balanced and well structured with good length. A perfect companion at the table.

Special notes

Gérard Bertrand is the chameleon of the wine growers in the south of France. With his three domains, L'Hospitalet, the Villemajou and the Laville Bertrou, he is at the forefront of the appellations. Matured for 12 months in French oak barrels. The zones that do not meet the AC (Appellation Controlée) conditions can be called VDQS (Wines Defined as Superior Quality), this group is disappearing, gradually being replaced by the Vins de Pays, also very successful and interesting wines.
