Pico Maccario Cantamerli convinces with its lively nose of dark red wild berries, spices and hints of bourbon vanilla. Presenting ripe, well-integrated tannins on the palate, pronounced fruitiness, red berries and plums, along with a spicy, fruity finish.

Special notes

The Pico Maccario Cantamerli Monferrato Rosso matures in small French oak barrels for 10 months and then for several months in the bottle.

    Pico Maccario Cantamerli Monferrato Rosso 2004 - Ob die Ehe Barbera mit Cabernet wirklich eine gute Idee war, ich bin da äusserst ambivalent. Denke man liebt oder man hasst diesen Tropfen. Zwar ziemlich vollmundig aber zuviel Frucht im Körper, eine störende Süsse ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Trotzdem 3 Sterne, da ein solcher Wein in einer normalen Schweizerstube eher selten kredenzt wird.
